In the Works: Song-Bio

For those who always have wanted to know the deep, dark, hidden secrets behind my song - or not - I'm working on an online Song-Biography that gives a little (sometimes very little) background to each song...

All Mendoza Albums on Mediafire

Because of increasingly unreliable webhosting services, which simply cant live up to their promises of "Unlimited Traffic," once you reach over 20GB of traffic per month, all (currently 19) Mendoza albums are available from Mediafire, which so far seems to be a reliable filehosting service.

For those who prefer to pick out the songs they want one by one, check out my new blog
Dave Mendoza Albums, from where you'll have the choice to download either single mp3 files or the entire zip folders for each album.

Latest Recordings May 09

Before we'll be off-line for a few weeks due to a change of Internet & telephone providers (which in Germany seems to be taking longer than it would in Timbuktu), here the latest results from our sound kitchen:

Web Stats 08 & News

Luckily, about a week or two before the server of our former webhost crashed, I took the above snapshot of our stats page, leaving us at least the bulk of our stats from 2008:

17,173 visitors,

having downloaded

212.60 GB of data, equalling roughly 50,000 songs,

given the average size of the mp3 files downloadable from our sites.

After the hack attack on our web sites from January, I decided to revamp them & I reckon you've seen the result.

Changes are good for us.

Now all it takes is spring to finally hit this corner of the world...

New Recordings

Although I initially thought that "Good Day to Die" might be a good title to call it quits and stop producing music for the world for free, it so happened that inspiration didn't quite yet ease up on me, and thus the world will have to put up with a few more songs that tell them what they don't want to hear...

Since "Farewell Mr. President," 3 new songs (in English) have seen the light of day which - as usual - I'm ready to share with the world.

First there was the Christmas tune "Immanuel" that already decorated our website audibly during the Christmas season.

Then there was this old tune in Italian by G.F.Haendel that's been haunting me for years (my mother used to sing it), but it turns out to be a love song to a tree. Since I'm into worshiping the Creator rather than the creation, I was delighted to find an alternative version of the lyrics in Italian, which I roughly translated into English and Spanish:

Largo

(fiddle by our dear friend Sabine)

Finally, my apology to the world for all the times I stuck my foot in my mouth with my bizarre sense of humor:

Not a Sermon, But a Sample.

With all the best intentions for the new year to be a good boy,

yours truly.
